Refund policy

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Returns / Exchange a Product

Return

Returns are applicable only on orders shipped within India.

We accept returns solely for products that are defective or damaged, provided they are in unused condition.

If you receive a damaged product, please contact us at help@thedecostory.com within 24–48 hours of receiving your order. To facilitate the return or exchange process, kindly include clear images of the damaged product. This will help our quality control team validate the damage claim.

Once the claim is approved, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Returns for Sets

If you receive a damaged product that is part of a set, please be aware that the entire set must be returned to process an exchange or refund. To ensure a smooth return process, kindly keep all components of the set intact and in their original condition.

Please note that returns, refunds, and replacements are not applicable for orders placed during the Sale period.

Exchange

We regret to inform you that exchange requests are not an option. In this situation we would be able to proceed with a return and you would need to place a new order for the new items, in accordance with the Return/Returns for Sets policy.

Cancellation Policy

We regret to inform you that cancellation requests cannot be accommodated.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
